Our Water Screw Chilling System is ideal for immersion chilling, applicable to both soft and hard scalded products.
The screw transports birds in a counter flow through cold water, maximizing the temperature differential between the product and the chilling medium.
Equipped with an agitation system, this setup enhances contact between the birds and the cold water. The system can use tap water, flaked ice, or prechilled water to achieve temperatures as low as 1°C.
This method can result in a controlled water pick-up, increasing product weight by up to 12%.
